At Imagine Thiz Candle and Art Studio, Tess Levinson transforms her passion for wax into the creation of exquisite, hand-crafted candles and art, blending creativity, emotion, and purpose. Her journey into encaustic art led to a deep love for wax, which ultimately inspired the founding of a studio dedicated to candle making. Each of her designs tells a unique story, with layers of wax symbolizing the intertwining moments of grief, light, and love. The studio invites you to bring your imagination to life by creating your own candle, with the team always on hand to guide and support you throughout the process. As Tess says often, 'If you can imagine it, you can create it.'.

At the heart of Imagine Thiz is the belief that candles are more than just decorative objects; they are vessels of memory, hope, and healing. Tess’s designer candles are crafted to bring light into the darkest times, whether in remembrance of loved ones or as symbols of positivity and renewal. Each candle reflects her personal journey of survival and healing, offering those who light them a way to honor their own stories.

 

Imagine Thiz isn’t just a studio—it’s a place where people can connect with the therapeutic power of candle making and art classes. Tess not only shares her own passion for wax, but also brings in other artists to share their unique mediums. Through workshops and collaborative experiences, these artists help participants create meaningful pieces of art, teaching them new techniques and ways to express themselves. Whether through custom commissions or by participating in classes, Imagine Thiz provides an opportunity to engage with the beauty and symbolism of candles, as well as other forms of creative expression.

A message from Tess: 

 

On July 13, 2018, my world changed with the loss of my son, Cameron. From that day forward, I have carried the weight of heartache and grief, grappling with sadness, faith, and the many challenges life brings. The overwhelming darkness I felt pushed me to search for light—both within myself and in the world around me.

 

With the encouragement of my husband, who urged me to channel my grief into something meaningful, I set out on a path to bring light into my life and the lives of others facing similar struggles. In 2018, I traveled to Thailand to study the art of candle making, becoming a Chandler with the goal of creating candles that could help illuminate the darkness. Each candle was designed as a symbol of remembrance, a way for people to honor their loved ones or find solace in challenging times. I knew I needed to find a way to honor my angels and their memories and keep moving forward.

This journey also led me to explore wax as a medium for art. I began painting with wax, which became my own form of therapy and a way to express my love for creation. Through Imagine Thiz Candle and Art Studio, I not only craft candles and wax art, but also teach others through workshops and collaborative art experiences. My hope is to inspire positivity, brighten lives, and provide a sense of healing through the process of creating together.

Art continues to be my therapy, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share it with you. Whether through commissioned pieces or shared experiences, it is my honor to bring light and love into the world.
